Bob Andrews: Bio

Bob Andrews

Bob Andrews
Performing Songwriter

Bob Andrews is a new voice in the acoustic singer/songwriter community. His songs draw on both the light and dark side of everyday life. He weaves his writing around themes of hope, humor, and healing. A careful observer of the human experience, Bob write about what falls between the cracks of life and what we are when no one is watching.
Bob started performing his songs after attending a songwriting workshop given by Bob Franke. After hearing Bob for the first time, Franke told him that his songs need to be heard. The following summer Bob traveled to New Hampshire to again work with Bob Franke. Franke was teaching at the Summer Acoustic Music Week sponsored by Dick Pleasants and Boston radio station WUMB. While in New Hampshire Bob’s songs caught the ear of the folks from Dancing Druid Records and Bob was offered a recording contract.
Bob’s earliest musical influences can be traced to the Dylan albums his older brother would bring home form college and the Hank Williams tunes his father would sing on Sunday afternoon drives. Performers who have recorded Bob’s songs include Wichita singer/songwriter Aaron Fowler on his CD, When We Gather, and Boston’s Eric Behr on his CD, a Stop Along the Way; and Hartford singer/songwriter Lee Gobi. Bob’s first Cd Finns Point Light was released in 1999 on the Dancing Druid label and is available on CD Baby.
In listening to Bob’s song you’ll be re-acquainted with the dreams you’ve put on hold and spend time with parts of your life you’ve been meaning to visit. If you enjoy tales with a twist, daydreams with an edge, and well crafted songs that may help you find your way, you need to give Bob Andrews a listen. You won’t be disappointed.
