Bob Andrews: Bio

Bob Andrews sings his own songs...songs that draw on both the light and dark side of everyday life. A careful observer of the human experience, Bob writes about what falls between the cracks of life and what we are when we think no one is watching. Bob's earliest influences can be traced to the Dylan albums his older brother would bring home from college and the Hank Williams tunes his father would sing on Sunday afternoon drives.
Butch Ross comments, "...like a writer of great short stories, Bob Andrews excels in telling moving stories in taught detail. His craftsmanship as a songwriter is impeccable; if his songs were hospital beds, you could bounce a quarter off of them. Bob Andrews songs are fresh, surprising and yet maintain an immediate familiarity. I can still sing the chorus to "Lovers in Love" even though it's been nearly ten years since I last heard it. I'm a songwriter, and pride myself on being a good one, but Bob's songs make me say, Damn, I wish I wrote that..." Dick Pleasants adds that Bob is a talented songwriter with a captivating stage presence. It's great to hear his songs. They are wonderfully clever, well constructed and a joy to listen to.
